Fundraising for HAWS

From time to time HAWS initiates fund raising events in which we attempt to involve the entire community in and around Hermanus. All fund raising events are posted on our website and Facebook and advertised in the media to promote awareness in the hope that the larger community supports this absolutely necessary cause which tirelessly cares for animals in the Hermanus area.

Wall Of Fame

Wall Of Fame

The WALL OF FAME fund raising initiative is geared towards the support and maintenance of our brand new animal welfare clinic which opened its doors on the 29th of April 2013.

Everyone who donates R1000 or more to this cause will have their name put onto our Wall of Fame at the welfare premises — these being the generous caring people who continue to help maintain the running of the clinic. Our goal is to treat as many animals as possible from our disadvantaged areas as well as making a marked difference in the animal population with an ongoing sterilization campaign.

Copper Coin Collection

Copper Coin Collection

The Hermanus Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), in conjunction with the Hermanus Times, are calling on everybody in Hermanus to become” copper droppers” in aid of the welfare society. Most people end up with copper coins in their purses which become heavy and virtually useless to them, but to HAWS it can very quickly add up to a large amount of money.

HAWS’ aim is to collect two tons of copper coins... within six months this could add up to R54250.
